One Day

Me and Abby decided to watch One Day a few days ago. I liked it but felt like there's more to it coz it ended abruptly, "parang bitin." So I am buying the book and eventually plan to read it when I have time to fill in the missing pieces that I found lacking in the movie. I should've read it first but didn't have time before watching due to the busiest schedule the past weeks.

It was a romantic drama: (yes, I am always lazy to write my own summary)
"Emma and Dexter meet on the night of their university graduation. We see them every year on the anniversary of that date - July 15th. Emma is smart but success doesn't come quickly for her, whereas for Dexter, success and women come very easily. Through the years they grow apart as their lives take different directions and they meet other people. But as they grow apart from those other people and their lives start taking opposite directions again, Emma and Dexter find that they belong with each other." (source)

Anne Hathaway looked very charming in this blue ensemble.

Jim Sturgess wasn't so bad himself.

The movie was really nice since I even cried twice to show how much I was affected with the scenarios unfolding in front of me. I just never watched a movie that is based on a novel that was up to par with how the book touched you and I'm sure I'd be so disappointed with this movie when I read the book. I hope, one day, some awesome director can give justice to novels-turned-into-movies.

My verdict? 4/5 stars. Wishing to find out what was lacking through reading the book soon.
★★★☆

Lots of lovin' and kisses,
